Range Rules

 

 

                                                              Safety First
Treat all guns as loaded
Keep Muzzle pointed in a safe direction
Shoot only at targets that are on the range floor
Use only metal targets with prior approval from the Range Chairman
No shooting while anyone is in front of the firing line
Alert other shooters if you need to go down range
Glass targets are not allowed
Be sure that no live rounds are left at the range
Shoot from the firing line ONLY, unless otherwise directed.
Wear eye and ear protection
Keep breeches open when not firing
No firing from below the platform
Members are allowed - one guest - twice a year.  Guest = Friend or Acquaintance
There are no restrictions for how many or how often for family members.

The Executive Board of the Horse Pond Fish and Game Club reserves the right to suspend or terminate
any member who does not abide by these rules.

No Hunting is allowed on the property

No Skeet shooting on the property

I.D. Badges must be worn to Show membership

Be Considerate of our Neighbors

 

The maximum allowable rate of fire is -
One round - Per second - Per shooter

 

The rifle range is open Monday thru Saturday
from 9:00 a.m.  to sundown. Sunday is 10:00 a.m. 
to sundown. Sundown times can be gotton from
your local newspaper.

 

Respect the Property

Use the trash barrels and pick up after yourself.

Be fire conscious, especially with the trash barrels.

Place targets so that your rounds do not hit the
target frames.

 

Respectable Conduct

Politeness and consideration of others should be
practiced at all times.

No alcohol at the range or prior to shooting.

 

Competitions

During scheduled competition, the competition
director has the descresion to enforce additional
range rules.

 

Only members and their family or members
guests are permitted at the range.

 

THERE IS A WHITE BUCKET AT THE RANGE
FOR ALL SPENT BRASS. PLEASE DISCARD
YOUR "EMPTYS' IN THIS WHITE BUCKET.
WE HAVE MEMBERS THAT HANDLOAD AND
THEY CAN USE THE BRASS.
